Keramas Village In History

Keramas derives from Kara means Shine and Mas means gold or Gold Shining Village that was founded by I GustiPutuAgung, son of King Ida GustiAgungMaruti of Gelgel Dynasty (1660-1686). Keramas was a heavy jungle and no inhabitants. The son king, try to meditate inside the cave around Rangkan Forest. During his meditation, he founded the Banyan tree has a shining gold. It was amazed him. I GustiPutuAgung has decided to built his palace around this area. It was 1750 this settlement became famous as Keramas Village.
